A Little Bug in a Big World

So, I’ve issued myself a challenge.  It’s a stash bust…but with meaning.  I don’t honestly know if I can even do it…but I’m going to try.

I’ve challenged myself to use 25 skeins/balls/hanks/cakes from my stash by April.  That’s 4 balls a month, and then a little more.  Doesn’t sound like much…but there’sa catch.  Well, there’s two catches actually.

Catch 1 – the 11 skeins of my lady eleanor and the 16ish skeins of Logan’s Lizard Ridge blanket DO NOT COUNT, but must still be completed by the April 1 deadline.  Why?  Because I just bought the yarns for these and they will not be considered stash.

Catch 2 – I refuse to make things I don’t like just to use up yarn.  My stash yarn is yarn that I LOOOVE, whether for me or for family members. I won’t just be using it to use it.  So, I suppose it’s a stash bust with meaning.

I don’t think it’s going to be easy.  4 skeins a month doesn’t sound bad…but my yarn is about half lace weight.  I skein could take months on it’s own.  We’ll see.  I’m hoping I can do it.  It will make me feel better about my stash and it’s already helping me get to some projects that I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but never seem to get to.

Wish me luck!
